Have Questions? We’ve Got Answers
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring:
● A list of current creams/medications
● Any past test results (if you have them)
● Notes or photos of your flare-ups
Should I stop using my creams before testing?
In most cases, you can continue your creams up until your appointment. You should stop anti-histamines 5 days prior and oral steroids 14 days prior to coming in.
Is patch testing safe?
Yes. Patch testing is safe and is used commonly to identify contact allergic dermatitis. Small patches are placed on your back and checked after a few days. There are no needles involved.
